Logistics Officer – Export & Import Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Officer to lead export and import operations at our manufacturing facility in Doha, Qatar. The role ensures efficient, compliant, and cost‑effective international logistics, handling customs clearance, shipping documentation, container management and freight coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full export and import logistics cycle, including shipping, customs clearance, documentation and final delivery.
• Coordinate sea, air and land freight operations with forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers and transport providers.
• Prepare, verify and maintain all trade documents such as B/L, commercial invoices, packing lists, COO, EPC and BAL.
• Monitor container utilization, shipping schedules and freight costs, optimizing for efficiency.
• Track shipments, resolve delays, demurrage, cargo claims and customs issues proactively.
• Maintain accurate logistics records and support internal and external audits.
• Analyse global freight market trends and recommend cost‑saving initiatives.
• Ensure timely delivery of raw materials, finished products and equipment.

Required profile

• Minimum 4‑5 years of logistics, shipping and international trade experience.
• Proven experience managing high‑volume containerized shipments in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration or related field.
• Fluent English with strong communication, negotiation and leadership abilities.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Qatar Customs regulations and import/export procedures.
• Expertise in trade compliance and Incoterms.
• Hands‑on experience with shipping documentation (B/L, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, COO, EPC, BAL).
• Proficiency in ERP systems and shipment tracking platforms.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in freight forwarding and container management.
