Machine Operator – Digital Printing & Fabrication

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join our production team on an urgent basis. The role involves operating a range of digital printing and fabrication equipment to deliver high‑quality output for branding, events, exhibitions, signage and other projects.

Key responsibilities

• Operate large‑ and small‑format digital printers (UV, solvent, eco‑solvent, latex).
• Run CNC routers, plotters, laser cutters, laminators and other finishing machinery.
• Prepare substrates, inks and materials according to job specifications.
• Perform test prints, adjust alignment, sizing and colour accuracy.
• Carry out cutting, trimming, laminating, mounting, routing and assembly tasks.
• Handle a variety of materials such as vinyl, acrylic, MDF, foam board, aluminium, PVC, fabric and paper.
• Prepare and modify artwork using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
• Verify and ready print‑ready files (AI, PDF, PSD, EPS) and manage production queues via RIP software.
• Conduct basic colour calibration, profiling and quality checks.
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical or software issues and perform routine cleaning, calibration and preventive maintenance.
• Adhere to all health, safety and environmental (HSE) and production quality standards.

• Proven experience operating digital printers and fabrication equipment.
• Ability to work accurately under tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to follow HSE procedures.

Required skills

• Operation of UV, solvent, eco‑solvent and latex digital printers.
• CNC router, laser cutter and laminator operation.
• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
• Preparation of print‑ready files (AI, PDF, PSD, EPS).
• Use of RIP software for job queue management.
• Basic colour calibration and profiling.
• Troubleshooting of minor mechanical and software issues.
