Manager, Project Strategy & Planning – Product Development & Design

About the role

Qatar Airways is seeking a Manager to lead strategic governance and planning for its Product Development & Design (PDD) division. You will oversee the divisional project portfolio, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities and enterprise‑wide programs while driving innovation and design excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a divisional project governance framework aligned with QR 2.0 vision and Group strategic priorities.
• Synchronise PDD initiatives with enterprise programmes, including the Group‑level Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO).
• Translate SVP PDD strategic direction into actionable governance practices that prioritize innovation and customer‑centricity.
• Promote modern project management methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Agile and PMBOK.
• Act as the strategic interface between PDD and enterprise governance bodies, integrating reporting, planning cycles and performance tracking.
• Oversee portfolio prioritisation, sequencing and resourcing to meet strategic objectives.
• Define, track and report KPIs and OKRs, providing real‑time dashboards on project health, risks and alignment.
• Conduct post‑project analysis to generate insights and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing complex project portfolios within a large organisation.
• Strong understanding of governance frameworks and enterprise‑level programme alignment.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate strategic direction into operational practice.
