Material Planning Specialist

About the role

SPIE Global Services Energy is looking for a Material Planning Specialist to support its maintenance material management function in Qatar. The role will work closely with the NOC, warehouse teams and maintenance stakeholders to ensure a reliable flow of materials for repair, refurbishment and operational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Design, document and continuously improve processes and procedures for maintenance material management.
• Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE legislation, company standards and environmental requirements.
• Identify and implement efficiency improvements across all material‑related activities.
• Provide first‑level specialist advice to on‑shore, site and offshore personnel on material handling and movement.
• Act as the primary liaison with warehouse staff to guarantee continuous material flow, proper storage, preservation and timely return to stock.
• Coordinate with campaign, shutdown and base‑operation material coordinators for tracking, bagging and tagging of materials.

Required profile

• Proven experience in material planning or inventory management within an industrial or energy environment.
• Strong understanding of HSE requirements and ability to promote a safe working environment.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
