Operational Auditor

About the role

The Operational Auditor will conduct risk‑based audits across Qatar Stock Exchange’s operational, financial, compliance and governance functions. The role supports the internal audit plan by evaluating governance structures, risk management processes, regulatory compliance and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accountability.

Key responsibilities

• Execute operational audit engagements in line with the approved annual audit plan, covering market operations, issuer services, trading, and support functions.
• Perform process walkthroughs, interviews, control testing and analytical reviews; prepare audit working papers according to internal audit standards.
• Assess governance, risk management, enterprise risk processes and compliance with corporate policies, laws and regulations.
• Review financial management, budgeting, accounting, procurement, vendor management, HR processes, project governance and strategic planning.
• Identify control deficiencies, draft audit reports, communicate findings and follow up on corrective actions.
• Participate in annual risk assessments, audit planning and special investigations as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Risk Management or a related field (master’s preferred).
• Professional qualification or progression in a relevant audit or risk discipline.
• Experience in internal audit, risk assessment or compliance within a financial services environment.
