Operations Systems Specialist

About the role

Qatar Airways is seeking an Operations Systems Specialist to join the Flight Operations – Operational Strategy & Innovation team in Doha. The role focuses on managing and supporting specialised operational systems within the Operational Control Centre and ensuring data integrity for flight operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain reference data (aircraft tails, airports, scheduling codes, crew expiries, etc.) in operational systems to enable seamless user tasks.
• Administer user accounts and security permissions, ensuring timely de‑activation and protection of company data.
• Configure and maintain alerts, FTL rules, expiries, and scheduling restrictions in TOPS for Crew Resources and IOC teams.
• Collaborate with end‑users to identify system inefficiencies, propose improvements, and document customisation requirements for vendors.
• Investigate and resolve reported system issues, verify vendor fixes, and ensure solutions are fit for purpose before rollout.

Required profile

• Experience working with operational or flight‑related systems in an airline or similar environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot configuration and workflow problems.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with end‑users and external vendors.

Required skills

• Proficiency with TOPS (airline operations system).
• Knowledge of system configuration, user administration, and data maintenance.
