Outboard Mechanic – Marine Engine Repair & Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Marine Mechanic / Outboard Mechanic to join our technical team. The role involves repairing, maintaining and troubleshooting marine engines and vessel systems in dry‑dock, workshop and onboard environments, with a strong focus on safety and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Perform repair, servicing and maintenance of outboard and inboard marine engines.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective troubleshooting on marine equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections of vessels and mechanical systems.
• Repair engine, fuel, cooling, steering and hydraulic systems.
• Support dry‑dock activities, workshop operations and onboard maintenance tasks.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to required standards.
• Maintain accurate service reports and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Marine Mechanic, Outboard Mechanic or Marine Engine Technician.
• Strong knowledge of marine engines and vessel mechanical systems.
• Ability to independently identify and resolve technical and mechanical issues.
• Experience in marine workshops, shipyards, offshore vessels or boat maintenance is preferred.
• Technical qualification in Mechanical or Marine Engineering is an advantage.
• Gulf or offshore experience highly preferred.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Yamaha, Mercury or Suzuki outboard engines.
• Maintenance of fuel, cooling, steering and hydraulic systems.
• Preventive maintenance procedures for marine equipment.
• Diagnostic troubleshooting of marine mechanical faults.
