Outstation Finance Transformation & Operations Manager

About the role

This role leads the day‑to‑day operations of GBS Outstations while driving end‑to‑end finance and back‑office transformation across Qatar Airways' outstation network. You will partner with finance, commercial, internal audit, tax, procurement and IT stakeholders to design a leaner, more controlled and cost‑efficient operating model.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of finance, accounting, payroll, procurement, vendor management and other back‑office tasks at non‑Doha outstations.
• Oversee non‑Doha payroll processing, security, payment controls, statutory payments and settlements.
• Manage non‑Doha procurement, local payments, insurance policies, asset verification and station taxation compliance.
• Ensure adherence to group policies, provide local legal support and manage facilities lease contracts.
• Design and execute a multi‑year programme to harmonise finance and back‑office processes across all outstations.
• Map current "as‑is" processes, identify gaps, embed internal controls and align to QR Group standards and IFRS.
• Identify automation and AI opportunities to simplify and shorten processes.
• Build business cases for centralising activities into Doha or GBS delivery centres and rationalise external vendors.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading finance transformation or operations across multiple locations.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to partner across finance, commercial, audit, tax, procurement and IT.
• Deep understanding of internal controls, process standardisation and compliance frameworks.
• Ability to drive measurable change, evaluate people and process effectiveness and deliver cost‑efficient solutions.
