Painter and Polisher

About the role

The Painter and Polisher will be responsible for applying finishes to walls, ceilings, furniture and other surfaces across Westin Hotels & Resorts in Doha. The role involves preparing surfaces, applying coatings, and ensuring high standards of safety and guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Apply paint, stain, primers or sealers using brushes, spray guns or rollers.
• Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning or abrasive blasting.
• Cover surfaces for protection and post appropriate paint signs.
• Clean and store painting tools and equipment properly.
• Coordinate with vendors to modify colors of paint, stain or varnish.
• Follow all company safety, security and quality policies; report hazards and complete safety training.
• Maintain a professional appearance, protect proprietary information and company assets.
• Welcome guests, assist individuals with disabilities and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Perform physical tasks such as reaching overhead, bending, lifting up to 50 lb, and working on ladders.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school education.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.
