Painting Inspector

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Painting Inspector to lead advanced inspections of surface preparation, painting and coating applications on industrial projects. The role ensures compliance with international standards and HSE requirements while mentoring junior inspectors.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct and oversee inspections of surface preparation, painting and coating applications.
• Verify compliance with ISO, SSPC, NACE and BGAS‑CSWIP standards.
• Perform Dry Film Thickness (DFT), adhesion, holiday detection and other coating tests.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, non‑conformance reports and maintain accurate records.
• Guide and mentor Level 1 and Level 2 junior inspectors.
• Coordinate inspection activities with contractors and ensure adherence to HSE standards.
• Liaise with clients and project managers to resolve technical issues.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• Valid BGAS‑CSWIP Level 3 Painting Inspector certification (NACE Level 3 preferred).
• 5–7 years of experience in industrial painting/coating inspection, preferably on oil & gas or petrochemical projects.
• Strong knowledge of coating systems, corrosion protection and relevant international standards.
