Paralegal Officer (Qatari & Children of Qatari Mother)

About the role

The Paralegal Officer will manage end‑to‑end criminal case files for the bank, ensuring accurate documentation, cheque handling, and coordination with internal units, authorities, and external law firms. The role supports the legal department through administrative tasks, legal reviews, and advisory services, contributing to the bank’s compliance and recovery processes.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and acknowledge newly initiated criminal case files and post‑dated cheques, verifying all accompanying documentation.
• Review hand‑over documents, update the legal case system (RCS), and approve cases for further action.
• Classify cheques, maintain detailed Excel registers, and store original cheques securely.
• Monitor cheque posting timelines and validate returned cheque advice validity.
• Prepare complete physical case files and ensure digital uploads in RCS.
• Draft and submit police complaints, follow up with authorities, and record case numbers.
• Archive complaint documents, original cheques, and related advice in both physical and digital repositories.
• Track judicial hearings, provide weekly schedules, and follow up on case progress.

Required profile

• Qatari nationality or child of a Qatari mother, as specified.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential legal documents.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple case files simultaneously.
• Effective communication with internal teams, law enforcement, and external counsel.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking cheque information.
