Plant Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Plant Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of plant equipment and machinery. You will work closely with production teams, management, and suppliers to develop and execute maintenance strategies that minimise downtime and support organisational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical and industrial equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures, developing maintenance plans to reduce disruptions.
• Analyse operational data to identify trends, root‑causes and opportunities for reliability improvement.
• Collaborate with production, management and suppliers to align maintenance activities with business priorities.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety standards and regulations, identifying and mitigating hazards.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, schematics and standard operating procedures.
• Participate in ongoing training programmes to enhance technical knowledge and skills.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and equipment operation.
• Ability to analyse information, diagnose problems and devise effective solutions.
