Recreation Manager

About the role

The Recreation Manager supports the Director of Recreation in overseeing the pool and beach facilities at our Doha location. This role ensures daily maintenance, cleanliness, and smooth operation of cabana units while delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule recreation staff, covering duties in their absence.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and upkeep for pool and beach areas.
• Coordinate and run events, programs, and group activities such as sand painting, bonfires, and team‑building sessions.
• Manage children’s programs, including activity planning and equipment procurement.
• Oversee external vendors for water sports, scuba, and other services.
• Order and control inventory of supplies, equipment, tools, and uniforms.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and address service issues promptly.
• Participate in performance appraisals, coaching, and training of team members.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least one year of recreation/health‑club experience, or a two‑year degree in Health Education, Physical Education, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or a related field.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to model service behavior.
• Leadership skills to mentor and develop staff.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize workload effectively.
