Reservation Agent

About the role

Rosewood Doha, a luxury destination in Qatar comprising a 155-key hotel, serviced apartments and private residences, is hiring a Reservation Agent. The role responds to all reservation requests in an engaging way, aiming to convert them into confirmed bookings according to the hotel's selling strategy, and keeps all paperwork and systems up to date.

Key responsibilities

• Answer telephone and message enquiries and process email reservations within 10 minutes, sending confirmation within 2 hours (except overnight) in correct English.
• Handle room and outlet reservations from the sales team, agents and guests, and ensure a valid payment method is in place; flag payment issues to management.
• Know the hotel's products, rates, packages and promotions, and enforce cancellation policies and related charges.
• File correspondence according to standards and run daily arrival checks to verify bookings.
• Identify new corporate clients and agents and pass them to the Sales team.
• Follow SOPs, health and safety procedures, grooming standards and department policies, and take on other reasonable tasks.

Required skills

• Thorough knowledge of the Opera property management system and the Synxis central reservation system.
• Working knowledge of OTA and wholesale extranet sites to enter and verify bookings.
• Knowledge of the duties of Guest Relations, F&B, Accounts and Sales.
