Reservations Agent - Arabic Speaking

About the role

The Iconic Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha is looking for an Arabic-speaking Reservations Agent to join its team. The role covers answering guest calls, handling reservations and rooming lists, and promoting the hotel's rooms and services.

Key responsibilities

• Listen actively to guest questions, concerns and requests and resolve them using the brand's processes
• Anticipate guest needs and act on their preferences
• Answer phones within three rings, with polite etiquette, and handle transfers, messages and holds
• Know the hotel's services and facilities and the reservation systems thoroughly
• Answer queries on room rates, outlets and locations, choose the right room type and maximise room rates
• Process rooming lists and group blocks, record special requests and billing procedures, post advance deposits and explain guarantee and cancellation policies
• Keep track of room inventory and stay aware of rate and occupancy targets
• Use sales and up-selling techniques, suggest alternative dates and direct guests to sister properties when rooms are sold out
• Identify repeat guests with appropriate codes and assign confirmation and cancellation numbers
• Follow hotel rules, grooming standards and time and attendance policies, and help with large events, task forces and other duties asked by management

Required profile

• At least one year of experience in the same position at a 5-star hotel
• High school degree
• Fluent communication in Arabic
• Professionalism, integrity, honesty and confidentiality
