Risk & Governance Specialist

About the role

A leading financial institution in Qatar is looking for an experienced Risk & Governance Specialist to help develop and strengthen its enterprise risk framework. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders to enhance risk management, governance and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of enterprise and operational risk frameworks.
• Facilitate Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSAs).
• Monitor operational risk events and maintain risk registers.
• Prepare risk reports for senior management and governance committees.
• Assist with business continuity and resilience initiatives.
• Monitor regulatory requirements and recommend improvements.
• Develop and review policies, procedures and control documentation.
• Work with business units to identify and mitigate operational risks.
• Promote a strong risk culture across the organisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in operational or enterprise risk.
• Experience with governance, controls and risk reporting.
• Knowledge of RCSA methodology.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Banking or financial‑services experience preferred.
