Senior Accountant – Automotive Industry

About the role

The Senior Accountant will join JAR Accounting and Auditing’s Doha office, providing comprehensive accounting, audit and tax services to a portfolio of clients, primarily in the automotive sector. This full‑time, on‑site position requires a proactive professional who can ensure accurate financial reporting and support business advisory initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, record journal entries and perform account reconciliations.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing processes and prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Support audit engagements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Assist in the preparation of corporate tax returns and related documentation.
• Review and guide the work of junior accountants, identifying opportunities for process improvement.
• Provide financial analysis and insights for business advisory projects.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and client contacts, maintaining clear communication.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; professional certification preferred.
• Minimum seven years of accounting and audit experience, preferably within professional services.
• Demonstrated expertise in automotive industry accounting.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to mentor junior staff.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Doha and manage multiple deadlines while upholding high ethical standards.
