Vice President, Aviation Risk

About the role

Lesha Bank is seeking a Vice President to lead aviation risk management for its investment and financing activities. The role provides independent oversight, ensuring aviation transactions and assets are managed within the bank’s risk appetite and regulatory framework.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess and monitor risks linked to aviation investments, aircraft assets, leasing activities and counterparties.
• Conduct independent risk assessments of proposed transactions and recommend actions to support investment decisions.
• Evaluate credit and counterparty risk, including financial strength of airlines, lessees and operators.
• Monitor aircraft residual‑value risk, market conditions, age, type and utilization.
• Assess country, market, liquidity and concentration risks and flag emerging concerns.
• Review lease structures, contractual terms, collateral and guarantees for adequate risk protection.
• Track the aviation portfolio against approved limits, policies and guidelines, escalating breaches promptly.
• Prepare risk reports, dashboards and analyses for senior management and investment committees.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in risk management, aviation finance, aircraft leasing or related financial services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Aviation Management or a related field.
• Professional qualifications such as CFA or FRM are a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication and reporting abilities.
