Senior Accountant with Finance background

About the role

The Senior Accountant will manage full‑cycle accounting for a diverse client portfolio, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. Based on‑site in Doha, the role supports audit engagements and provides insight into budgeting, forecasting and overall financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations and financial statements in line with applicable standards.
• Oversee periodic financial reporting and statutory compliance.
• Support audit engagements and coordinate with audit teams.
• Provide analysis and recommendations for budgeting, forecasting and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to maintain accurate records and timely reporting.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory, tax and internal control requirements.
• Assist management with process improvements and finance‑related advisory tasks.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of finance, financial statements and key performance indicators.
• Analytical mindset with ability to identify variances and suggest corrective actions.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, auditing practices and tax regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA, ACCA or CMA preferred.
• Experience in a public accounting or audit firm, preferably in a senior or supervisory capacity.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaborative skills for on‑site work in Doha.
• Strong experience in e‑commerce and fintech environments.
