Senior AI & Frontier Tech Prototype Specialist

About the role

The Senior AI & Frontier Tech Prototype Specialist will lead QRG’s rapid‑prototyping stream, turning innovative AI and emerging‑technology concepts into working proofs of value, MVPs and pilots. Reporting to the innovation team, you will collaborate with business owners, cross‑functional squads and ecosystem partners to identify high‑impact use cases and accelerate their adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and test prototypes, PoVs and MVPs that translate business ideas into demonstrable solutions.
• Lead hands‑on development across AI, data, software and connected hardware (IoT, sensors, edge devices, embedded systems).
• Partner with business teams to prioritize use cases based on expected value and return.
• Apply generative AI, large language models and other advanced machine‑learning techniques to create deployable products.
• Define performance and value metrics, iterating through rapid test‑and‑learn cycles.
• Scout, evaluate and experiment with frontier technologies such as robotics, digital twins and automation.
• Translate successful prototypes into production‑ready solutions with developers, data engineers and hardware specialists.
• Analyse large data sets to uncover trends that guide prototyping priorities.
• Communicate technical concepts and business impact to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading AI‑driven prototyping initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong ability to work cross‑functionally with business, technical and partner teams.
• Excellent analytical mindset with a focus on measurable business outcomes.
