Senior Backend Developer (Java/SQL)

About the role

A leading Oil & Gas service company in Qatar is hiring a Senior Backend Developer through Wings Technical Services. The role covers backend application development, database design and optimization, microservices, data security and database administration. It is a full-time position based in Doha.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java.
• Design, develop and optimize SQL database solutions.
• Develop and maintain microservices-based applications.
• Write and optimize stored procedures and complex SQL queries.
• Perform database design, performance tuning and query optimization.
• Support database backup and recovery processes.
• Implement data security and access controls.
• Troubleshoot application and database performance issues.
• Collaborate with development, QA, infrastructure and business teams.
• Maintain technical documentation and development standards, and support project and production environments.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in Java and SQL database development.
• Experience in database development, microservices and Oil & Gas applications is preferred.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas or Landmark domain is highly valued.
