Senior Commercial Lawyer

About the role

RAYNE is seeking senior commercial lawyers to join its consultancy and be seconded to client organisations across Qatar and the GCC. The role offers variety, autonomy and the chance to work closely with businesses during periods of growth, transformation or change.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as MSAs, framework, services, SaaS, licensing, distribution and supply contracts.
• Advise on corporate and governance matters, restructurings and provide day‑to‑day in‑house legal support.
• Support transactions, projects and strategic initiatives alongside business teams.
• Identify and manage legal risk, flag issues and deliver pragmatic, business‑focused solutions.
• Operate confidently within fast‑paced, in‑house environments while being fully supported by the RAYNE team.

Required profile

• Admission to practice in a common law or other recognised international jurisdiction.
• Typically 5+ years of post‑qualification experience, with flexibility based on role.
• Experience in both private practice and in‑house legal teams.
• Adaptable, pragmatic and comfortable working autonomously as well as part of a team.
• Consultant mindset with a strong interest in working closely with business.
