Senior Contract Specialist

About the role

The Senior Contract Specialist will lead the review, management, and compliance of all contracts and leases for goods and services at Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar. This position works closely with university legal counsel and internal business partners to ensure contractual accuracy and adherence to institutional policies.

Key responsibilities

• Review existing contractual arrangements for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with university standards.
• Negotiate legal terms in collaboration with university legal counsel.
• Monitor collection of required contract documents and conduct quality‑assurance reviews.
• Maintain contract records by scanning and uploading executed agreements into the contract database.
• Generate reports on expiring agreements and coordinate renewal or termination decisions.
• Support contract renewal or extension processes using standard formats.
• Assist in developing or updating standard agreements, terms, and conditions.
• Contribute to initiatives that improve contract‑management processes and solutions.
• Coordinate with university business partners to incorporate industry best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commercial Law, or a related field (law degree preferred).
• At least three years of experience in a legal, risk, or compliance environment focused on contracts and negotiations.
