Senior Data Architect Specialist

About the role

The employer is looking for an experienced Data Architect to define and lead the enterprise data architecture, so that data is trusted, governed, integrated and readily available to support analytics, business intelligence and AI initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and define the target enterprise data architecture, including data platforms, data models and integration patterns across lakehouse and data warehouse environments.
• Establish enterprise data standards, master data management practices, metadata management frameworks and data quality rules.
• Align data architecture with SAP, operational technology historian systems and cloud-based data sources.
• Work with data governance and cybersecurity teams on data classification, retention and access control requirements.
• Review data architecture and solution designs to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and business objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and architectural direction to data engineering teams.
• Support the development of scalable, secure and reliable data platforms for analytics and AI.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in data architecture, enterprise data management or data engineering.
• Certification in Azure Data Engineer or Microsoft Fabric; TOGAF or CDMP preferred.
• Experience integrating and managing SAP data within enterprise data platforms.
• Knowledge of Oil & Gas data environments, including PI System / OT historian and ERP data, is preferred.

Required skills

• Enterprise data modelling, data integration and data architecture principles.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Microsoft Purview and SQL.
• Strong analytical, architectural design and stakeholder management skills.
