Senior Data Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a technically‑minded engineer to manage and develop our ETL infrastructure. The role involves improving data management processes, adapting and refactoring ETL systems for growth, and contributing to performance and governance initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Integrating new sources using the existing batch ETL system
• Creating new real‑time pipelines with an infrastructure‑as‑code approach
• Supporting teams in extracting data from the warehouse and handling Reverse ETL processes
• Participating in data management process improvement and proposing new solutions
• Automating processes and optimizing pipeline performance
• Driving long‑term improvement activities, refactoring, and cost‑reduction investigations

Required profile

• Strong programming skills, experience with multiple languages or Python frameworks
• Software design knowledge, including design patterns and application design
• Experience with data‑system or cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, message brokers, object storage, and query engines
• Advanced SQL skills, including subqueries, window functions, and CTEs
• Warehouse or ETL system design experience
• Knowledge of PySpark or other distributed systems and performance optimization
