Senior Information Management Expert – Data Governance Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Information Management Expert to lead the design and operation of enterprise information architecture, master data management and ECM platforms for a client in Doha, Qatar. The role will ensure data quality, governance and compliance with local privacy regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and govern the enterprise information architecture and data domains.
• Lead the master data management (MDM) strategy, tooling and day‑to‑day operations.
• Build and operate a data‑quality framework including profiling, monitoring and remediation workflows.
• Govern the enterprise content management (ECM) platform (e.g., OpenText, IBM FileNet, Microsoft 365/SharePoint).
• Lead records management, retention scheduling and compliance with Qatar PDPL and related regulations.
• Facilitate data‑governance forums such as data stewards’ council and data owners’ charter.
• Architect BI and analytics platform integrations from a data‑supply perspective.
• Lead data‑classification, lineage and catalogue programs using tools like Collibra, Informatica or Alation.
• Mentor information‑management staff and contribute to the client’s overall data strategy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Library or Information Sciences (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in information/data management, with at least 4 years in a senior or expert role.
• Hands‑on experience with a major ECM platform (OpenText Content Server, IBM FileNet, Microsoft SharePoint/M365 Records Management).
• Deep knowledge of a data‑governance framework such as DAMA‑DMBOK.
• Proven expertise in master data management tools (Informatica MDM, IBM InfoSphere, Microsoft MDS, Riversand).
• Strong understanding of data‑privacy regulations, especially Qatar PDPL and awareness of GDPR.
• Fluent professional English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
