Senior Legal Officer

About the role

The Senior Legal Officer will act as the primary legal advisor for the Group, ensuring that all contractual and regulatory matters align with business objectives and protect the company’s interests. This position involves drafting and reviewing a wide range of contracts, preparing legal defenses and claims, and supporting senior management with strategic legal guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Review, negotiate and revise lease, supplier, franchise and other commercial contracts.
• Draft statements of defense and claims as the house lawyer.
• Prepare minutes for board and general assembly meetings.
• Advise management on rights, obligations, liabilities and regulatory compliance.
• Assume the duties of the Group Legal Manager during their absence.
• Initiate and develop a legal document management system.
• Perform other legal tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Law degree with a valid license.
• Minimum 5 years of legal experience in GCC countries.
• Experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate buyouts, and company formation.
• Strong knowledge of legal procedures, protocols and regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to work both locally and internationally.
