Senior Logistics Officer

About the role

The Senior Logistics Officer will oversee all marine and aerial transport activities that support Qatargas operations between the land base, NFB and remote offshore platforms. This role ensures safe, efficient movement of personnel, equipment and supplies while maintaining compliance with aviation and maritime regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Administer sea transport services, schedule vessel movements and coordinate boat transfers to remote platforms, including material delivery to Ras Laffan.
• Manage helicopter bookings for platform, rig and fleet personnel, prioritize requests with the Offshore Installation Manager and record reservations in the company’s tracking system.
• Plan and supervise in‑field helicopter movements, maintain fuel inventory records, authorize helideck clearances and oversee refueling operations in line with safety procedures.
• Facilitate bi‑annual helifuel system inspections and re‑certifications according to CAP347 and civil aviation requirements.
• Supervise loading and off‑loading of freight, oversee crane operations, and ensure compliance with IMDG regulations.
• Plan and monitor rigging and scaffolding activities, coordinate third‑party inspections of lifting equipment and manage defect remediation.
• Allocate living‑quarter rooms and beds, track occupancy, and oversee catering contractor performance to uphold quality and hygiene standards.
• Organise mandatory training for deck crews, crane operators and Helicopter Landing Officers, and manage certification renewals.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma or HND in engineering or a related field.
• IMO certificate for transportation and handling of maritime cargo.
• Relevant certifications for helifuel system handling, crane operation and lifting equipment safety.
• Proven experience in marine and aviation logistics coordination.
