Senior Manager Sales Innovation & Market Development

About the role

In this position you will lead the innovation pillar of the commercial strategy, identifying new business opportunities, researching the market and delivering actionable recommendations to executive management. You will be responsible for planning, executing and monitoring innovation projects to ensure they meet timeline, budget and ROI targets.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the Innovation strategy as a core component of the overall Commercial Strategy.
• Align and recommend projects that support business objectives and compile commercial strategy insights from department heads.
• Lead research initiatives to uncover new business ventures and provide end‑to‑end analysis, information gathering and execution.
• Screen potential initiatives by evaluating market conditions, deal requirements, financials and internal priorities, and assemble multidisciplinary teams to drive them.
• Manage the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, progress reporting and ROI delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in sales management and global sales, with a focus on financial modelling and ROI.
• At least 5 years of proven sales success, preferably in airline, tour operator or hotel product sales and knowledge of trade distribution channels.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross‑functional projects, delegate tasks and mentor teams.
