Senior Payables Accountant

About the role

Snoonu, Qatar’s leading super‑app, is looking for a Senior Payables Accountant to own the end‑to‑end accounts payable process and related reporting across its Core Finance Group. You will bring structure and accuracy to complex payables, cost allocations and multi‑entity reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts payable: verify invoices, code GL accounts and cost centres, allocate expenses.
• Manage prepaid and accrued expense journals, schedules and reconciliations.
• Maintain advance‑to‑supplier reconciliations.
• Own subsidiaries accounting: verify transactions, consolidate trial balances, finalize balance‑sheet schedules and prepare management P&L.
• Allocate shared software and marketing costs, handle uniform and vertical business allocations, and prepare related reports.
• Support intercompany and franchisee reporting, reconcile balances and produce quarterly P&L statements.
• Review daily sales reports for accuracy before downstream processing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CMA) is a plus.
• 4–6 years of experience in accounts payable or financial accounting, preferably with multi‑entity or franchise reporting.
• Strong understanding of prepaid/accrual accounting, cost allocation methodologies and IFRS 16 rent accounting.
• High attention to detail and proven ability to manage high‑volume reconciliations.
• Excellent communication skills for coordination with suppliers, franchisees and cross‑functional teams.
