Senior Planning Engineer – Oil & Gas Projects

About the role

The Senior Planning Engineer will lead end‑to‑end project planning and control for oil & gas projects, ensuring schedules, progress monitoring and reporting are executed flawlessly from initiation through close‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Project Master Plans and schedules across all phases using Primavera and SAP Project Builder.
• Provide planning inputs for Project Execution Plans, Risk Management Plans, Change Management Plans and related documents.
• Monitor project progress, produce weekly‑monthly‑quarterly reports and issue early‑warning signals.
• Support tender preparation by defining scheduling requirements, progress measurement methods and contract execution instructions.
• Evaluate bidder proposals, validate contractor schedules, resource plans and reporting systems.
• Analyze contractor performance, identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Assess project progress for earned‑value calculations and budgeting.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of project planning experience in the oil & gas industry.
• At least 5 years working with National Oil Companies (NOCs) or International Oil Companies (IOCs).
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑disciplinary projects from start to finish.
