Senior Project Manager – Upstream Oil & Gas

About the role

The Senior Project Manager will lead large‑scale upstream oil and gas projects from concept through commissioning and hand‑over. Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure delivery on safety, schedule, budget and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, monitor and close upstream projects, overseeing engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and operations teams.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality and HSE performance.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables, procurement strategies and construction plans.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation measures; handle contract administration and change management.
• Prepare project reports, progress reviews and executive presentations.
• Support commissioning, start‑up and hand‑over activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical, Petroleum or related).
• 15+ years of overall project management experience, including at least 10 years in upstream oil & gas.
• Proven track record delivering EPC/EPCM projects valued at USD 100 M+.
• Experience with both greenfield and brownfield upstream facilities such as gathering stations, well pads, flowlines, production and processing plants.
• Preferred experience in the Middle East/GCC region and familiarity with operators such as ADNOC, Saudi Aramco, Qatar Energy, KOC or PDO.
