Senior Structural Engineer – Offshore Platforms

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the design and technical coordination of offshore platforms, FPSO units and semi‑submersible structures. The role involves close interaction with project teams, clients and vendors to ensure compliance with international offshore standards.

Key responsibilities

• Identify work scope and technical requirements.
• Participate in technical clarification and prepare discipline proposals.
• Design, review and approve structural documents and address owner comments.
• Coordinate, track and resolve issues in structural technical documents.
• Prepare and review technical documents for material bidding, vendor drawing reviews, FAT inspections and procurement support.
• Prepare and review special reports and calculation results.
• Provide site coordination, scheme discussion and technical support during construction.
• Deliver technical training to designers at least 10 times or 40 hours per year.
• Perform other tasks assigned by Project Manager and Structure department.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Over 10 years of offshore structural design experience on platforms, FPSO or semi‑submersible units.
• Familiarity with international standards such as API RP‑2A, AISC, ISO 19902 and Shell DEP.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SACS, ANSYS and AutoCAD for structural analysis and drafting.
• Experience using Grlweap for geotechnical and foundation engineering (where applicable).
• Knowledge of API RP‑2A, AISC, ISO 19902 and Shell DEP standards.
