Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead cost estimating, budgeting and commercial management across all phases of infrastructure and highway projects. The role involves close collaboration with clients, contractors and internal project teams to ensure financial control and contract compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update cost estimates, budget forecasts and cost plans throughout project lifecycles.
• Assist in the preparation and evaluation of Bills of Quantities (BoQs), pricing schedules and tender documentation.
• Support contract administration in line with FIDIC and Ashghal contract formats.
• Perform quantity take‑offs and verify contractor measurements and valuations.
• Prepare interim payment applications and assist in certifying contractor payments.
• Track and manage project variations, changes and claims.
• Provide support in claims assessment and dispute resolution processes.
• Maintain cost control systems and produce regular commercial reports.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and project teams on all commercial matters.
• Ensure proper documentation, cost records and contract correspondence are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably on infrastructure or highway projects.
• Prior experience with Ashghal projects is strongly preferred.
• Sound knowledge of FIDIC contracts and cost control procedures.
• Membership in a recognized professional body (e.g., MRICS) is an advantage.
