Senior Venture Control Accountant

About the role

The Senior Venture Control Accountant provides professional advice on financial, accounting, tax and management accounting matters for QatarEnergy LNG. The role ensures accurate revenue accounting, reconciliations, cash forecasting and compliance with IFRS and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Account for all revenues, ensure correct invoice coding and perform month‑end volume reconciliations.
• Execute quarterly price‑adjustment reconciliations, post adjustment invoices and manage monthly account reconciliations.
• Review operating costs, lease postings and cash calls for accuracy and reasonableness.
• Prepare cash forecasts for technical SAP entities, coordinate inputs from finance functions and validate forecasts before treasury submission.
• Calculate monthly tax, coordinate inputs from Asset & Materials, Allocation and Planning, and handle post‑TPOB tax calculations.
• Contribute to annual financial statements, drafting IFRS‑compliant notes and supporting annual budget and long‑term business planning.
• Produce monthly shareholder reports, statistical reports (PPI, QCB, sales, surveys) and ad‑hoc analyses.
• Maintain master data, ensure proper reporting hierarchies and uphold internal control standards, including TOFA.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or commerce.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CA, CFA, CIMA, CMA, CPA) or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, finance or related roles within the energy sector.
