Shift Technician

About the role

The Shift Technician provides on‑site maintenance and repair services for guests and hotel facilities. Working in rotating shifts, the technician ensures that all equipment, rooms and public areas remain functional, safe and presentable.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, mechanical‑room assets and building systems.
• Inspect, clean, lubricate and test air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing and pneumatic/electronic systems.
• Carry out minor repairs such as painting, drywall, wood‑trim work, light‑bulb and filter replacement.
• Identify and operate shut‑off valves and utility controls; use Lockout/Tagout procedures before work.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies, and document daily activities for shift hand‑over.
• Perform interior and exterior landscaping tasks, including sprinkler maintenance.
• Program televisions, update air‑handler schedules and make temperature adjustments using basic computer skills.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls and carpentry.
• Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lb unassisted and handle heavier items with assistance.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality and adherence to safety, security and company policies.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative attitude toward team goals.
