Solutions Architect - Infrastructure (HPE/Veeam/Nutanix)

About the role

QDS is looking for a presales Solutions Architect to own its HPE, Veeam and Nutanix portfolio. Working closely with account managers, you will design solutions, respond to tenders and RFPs and win deals for government, banking and enterprise customers in Qatar.

Key responsibilities

• Design and size HPE compute, storage and backup solutions (ProLiant, Synergy, Alletra, Nimble, StoreOnce), Nutanix and Veeam data protection
• Respond to tenders, RFPs and RFQs, including technical proposals, compliance sheets, BOQs and architecture diagrams
• Work with HPE, Veeam, Nutanix and distributors on configurations, pricing, deal registration and special bids
• Run customer workshops, presentations and proofs of concept, and present infrastructure products
• Turn customer requirements into clear, cost-effective technical solutions
• Hand over won projects to the delivery team with a clean scope and design
• Stay up to date with vendor roadmaps, certifications, the pipeline and customer visits

Required profile

• 5+ years in infrastructure presales or solution architecture with a system integrator or vendor
• Proven experience writing tender responses and technical proposals
• Confident presenting to technical teams and management
• ITIL and TOGAF certification preferred; Arabic speaking preferred

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of HPE servers and storage, and backup solutions (Veeam, StoreOnce, Data Protector)
• Good understanding of VMware/virtualization, SAN and disaster recovery design
• Nice to have: HPE ATP/ASE presales certifications, Veeam VMCE/VMCA, Nutanix NCP/NCA, experience with Qatar government or banking tenders, exposure to Dell, Commvault or other infrastructure vendors
