Supply Chain Manager – Lubricants Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead procurement, strategic sourcing, inventory planning and end‑to‑end supply‑chain operations for a leading lubricant manufacturing plant in Qatar. The role ensures continuous availability of base oils, additives, packaging and plant consumables while driving cost optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with production targets and business goals.
• Lead supplier selection, contract negotiations, vendor evaluations and procurement planning.
• Source and purchase lubricant base oils (Group I‑V) and a full range of additives.
• Maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers such as Lubrizol, Infineum, Afton Chemical and Chevron.
• Analyse market trends, pricing fluctuations and supply risks to mitigate disruptions.
• Oversee inventory management, demand forecasting and replenishment for plant operations.
• Manage import/export procedures, shipping documentation and compliance with international trade regulations.

Required profile

• 7‑12 years of procurement and supply‑chain experience in lubricant blending, petrochemical or chemical manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Professional certifications (CIPS, CPSM, APICS/CSCP) are a plus.
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Knowledge of lubricant base oils (Group I, II, III, IV, V) and additive technologies.
• Strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation and contract management.
• Inventory management, demand planning and procurement analytics.
• International procurement, import/export procedures and shipping documentation.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
