Tax Accountant – Doha, Qatar

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant / Tax Specialist to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The role involves managing day‑to‑day Qatar tax activities, ensuring accurate preparation, filing, record keeping and compliance with the Qatar Tax Authority.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support Qatar tax compliance and reporting requirements.
• Prepare and review tax returns, supporting schedules and related documentation.
• Maintain accurate tax records and ensure timely filings.
• Assist with tax audits and respond to queries from the Qatar Tax Authority.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external parties on tax‑related matters.
• Monitor changes in Qatar tax regulations and ensure compliance.
• Provide day‑to‑day support and guidance on Qatar tax matters.
• Ensure proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Qatar tax and accounting.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Qatar tax returns, compliance, audits and dealings with the tax authority.
• Good knowledge of Qatar tax laws, regulations and filing requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Economics or a related field.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Previous direct experience with the Qatar Tax Authority is highly valued.
• Must be currently based in Doha, Qatar.
