Technician – Trucks & Buses

About the role

The Technician will perform servicing, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting and repairs on Volvo trucks and buses. Working to Volvo manufacturer standards, DOMASCO procedures and workshop safety requirements, the role ensures vehicles are repaired correctly, safely and on schedule while supporting high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, preventive maintenance, inspections and repairs on Volvo trucks and buses according to manufacturer and dealer standards.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic faults using approved procedures and equipment.
• Complete assigned jobs within specified repair times and service schedules while maintaining high‑quality workmanship.
• Follow Volvo technical specifications, repair procedures, workshop service manuals and guidance from supervisors.
• Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical schematics accurately.
• Use Volvo‑approved diagnostic tools, technical systems and workshop equipment for systematic troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
• Perform testing, calibration, programming and adjustments with approved diagnostic equipment.
• Conduct quality checks after repairs and communicate any additional faults to the workshop supervisor or service advisor.
• Maintain accurate job card records and complete warranty documentation as required.

• Ability to work safely in a workshop environment and follow all safety and warranty procedures.
• Attention to detail for accurate documentation and quality assurance.
• Capability to interpret technical schematics and service manuals.

Required skills

• Use of Volvo‑approved diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic fault diagnosis.
• Reading and interpreting electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical schematics.
• Testing, calibration, programming and adjustment of vehicle systems.
• Accurate job card documentation and warranty processing.
