About the role
KEO is seeking an experienced Traffic Engineer to join its award‑winning team in Doha, Qatar. The role involves delivering traffic engineering, transportation and road safety assessments while ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
Key responsibilities
- Undertake traffic engineering studies, investigations and road safety audits.
- Review traffic management proposals, designs and technical deliverables for compliance with standards and guidelines.
- Provide technical input and recommendations on traffic operations, road safety and transportation engineering matters.
- Ensure project deliverables meet QCS 2014, Qatar Highway Design Manuals and relevant Traffic Manuals.
- Identify technical issues and project risks, offering appropriate solutions.
- Coordinate with project teams, clients, authorities and other stakeholders on traffic‑related matters.
- Offer technical guidance and support to engineers and project team members.
- Lead the technical delivery and review of traffic engineering assignments when required.
- Maintain effective client relationships and contribute to successful project outcomes.
Required profile
- Approximately 15 years of experience in traffic engineering and transportation projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- MME registration mandatory for Qatar residents; eligibility to obtain MME registration for other candidates.
- Membership of the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (CIHT) is a plus.
Required skills
- Traffic engineering and transportation planning.
- Road safety audits and assessments.
- Knowledge of QCS 2014, Qatar Highway Design Manuals and Traffic Manuals.
- Experience reviewing technical deliverables and providing engineering recommendations.
- Ability to coordinate with clients, authorities and multidisciplinary teams.
