Architect – Design Coordination

About the role

SYSTRA is seeking an Architect to support the Senior Architect in delivering complex transport projects in Qatar. The role focuses on coordinating design interfaces across multiple disciplines and ensuring consistent, high‑quality architectural outputs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Architect in daily coordination of design activities and deliverables.
• Act as liaison between architecture and structural, MEP, civil, and systems disciplines to produce fully coordinated design packages.
• Track design submissions, responses, and approvals to meet project schedules.
• Review and compile multidisciplinary inputs before client submission to verify completeness and consistency.
• Participate in coordination and technical meetings, document decisions, and follow up on actions.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and design review materials for clients.
• Manage comment tracking (e.g., DRS) and documentation control related to architecture.
• Ensure design outputs comply with project standards, codes, and authority requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in architectural coordination or multidisciplinary project environments.
• Valid Qatar MMUP Grade A in Architecture (evidence required with application).
• Experience with design and construction of major residential, industrial, and interior projects.
• Knowledge of Qatar civil codes (QCS, Civil Defence, NFPA) and ability to coordinate with civil works, MEP, ICT teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in BIM, Revit, and AutoCAD.
• Strong command of English; Arabic proficiency is an asset.
• Ability to use other architectural software as needed.
