Training Technician – Water

About the role

We are looking for a Training Technician – Water to support practical technical training in our Doha facility. The role involves preparing and maintaining laboratory equipment, tools, and training resources to ensure smooth delivery of water‑treatment courses.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain custody of all laboratory equipment, tools, instruments and training materials.
• Prepare and set up equipment and practical training kits before each session.
• Support trainers during demonstrations, practical exercises and trainee assessments.
• Perform preventive maintenance, routine servicing and minor repairs on pumps, valves, pipelines, flowmeters and water‑treatment systems.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, leaks or emergency maintenance needs.
• Calibrate, troubleshoot, modify and repair laboratory instruments and water‑quality monitoring devices.
• Ensure the laboratory complies with safety, housekeeping and operational standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, calibration records, equipment inventories and related documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in water‑treatment plants, utilities, laboratory operations or technical‑training support.
• Diploma or Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Water Technology or a related technical discipline.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to high safety standards.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Preventive and corrective maintenance of laboratory and mechanical equipment.
• Hands‑on experience with pumps, valves, pipelines, flowmeters and water‑treatment systems.
• Calibration, troubleshooting and repair of laboratory instruments and water‑quality monitoring equipment.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and equipment handling procedures.
• Basic maintenance documentation and equipment record‑keeping.
