Watch Officer (NOC) - Secret Clearance

About the role

V2X, a global mission-support company, is hiring a Watch Officer (WO) for its NOC program (OMDAC-SWACA). The WO acts as shift supervisor and is the senior NOC person in the absence of the Chief Watch Officer, supervising the automation systems of the NOC and overseeing high-level network performance and fault management under the guidance of the RCC-SWA. The role works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, mostly indoors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, monitor and maintain situational awareness of all networks and systems under NOC responsibility, and resolve issues, track progress and report results.
• Analyze and troubleshoot networks, including security policies, performance tuning and trending analysis, and open and update trouble tickets.
• Act as single point of contact for communications needs and for service requests, and escalate incidents beyond the NOC scope to the Chief Watch Officer.
• Own incident tickets from start to resolution, keep customers informed, and help prepare outage reports and trend analyses.
• Enforce information assurance per AR 25-2, triage suspicious activity, and track authorized service interruptions.
• Audit site data such as database backups, network diagrams and end-of-life data.

Required profile

• Active Secret clearance; must meet host-country requirements, including a host nation visa and driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent; one year of related experience may substitute one year of education.
• Adherence to DoD 8570.01M, with at least one baseline certification and one computing environment certification.
• Ability to work rotating shifts covering 24/7 operations.
• Experience in a customer-service-oriented company and at least two years of supervisory or lead experience.

Required skills

• Technical expertise in systems architecture and network design.
• Authorized certifications: CCNA Security, CCNP Security, CompTIA A+, CASP+, CySA+, Network+, Security+, SecurityX, GIAC (GCED, GCIH, GICSP, GSEC), ISACA CISA, ISC2 CISSP/SSCP, and CE certifications such as Microsoft 365, Azure, VMware, SQL Server or Windows Server.
