Technical Project Manager (ICT Network)

About the role

BAE Systems Strategic Aerospace Services is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager (ICT Network) in Doha to lead the planning, design, implementation and delivery of complex ICT and network infrastructure projects. The role combines strong project management capability with deep technical expertise in enterprise networking, telecommunications, data centers, cloud connectivity and digital infrastructure, and involves managing large-scale projects, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and engaging stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of ICT network infrastructure projects, from initiation through closure including test and commissioning.
• Manage project scope, timelines, deliverables, dependencies and change requests, and track milestones, risks and issues with regular status reporting to the program management team.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget and quality expectations.
• Manage the deployment of city-wide enterprise network infrastructures and work with network architects, engineers, cybersecurity teams, cloud specialists and infrastructure teams.
• Act as the main liaison between internal teams, subcontractors and vendors and end customers, and explain complex technical concepts to senior management.
• Identify and manage project risks, ensure compliance with policies, standards and regulations, and oversee system testing, acceptance and operational readiness.
• Manage third-party vendors, contractors and consultants, monitor their performance and deliverables, and coordinate internal and external resources.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, telecommunications, computer science, engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is good to have.
• PMP certification.
• 10+ years of experience in ICT networks and 5+ years in project management for ICT network projects.
• Experience managing timelines, multi-site and cross-functional teams on city-wide ICT network projects.

• Enterprise network architecture, routing and switching, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, data center infrastructure and cloud networking (Azure, Google Cloud).
• Network security, fiber optics, structured cabling, telecommunications technologies, disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Agile, Scrum, Waterfall and hybrid project management methodologies.
