Welcome Desk Talent Coach

About the role

The Welcome Desk Talent Coach is responsible for managing guest check‑ins, handling payments, and ensuring a smooth front‑desk experience at Marriott's W Doha property. The role also supports team members through coaching, training, and fostering a positive work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process all guest check‑ins, verify identity, assign rooms, and issue keys.
• Enter Marriott Rewards information, ensure correct rates, and document exceptions.
• Handle all payment types, vouchers, paid‑outs, and balance receipts at shift start and end.
• Compile daily reports, cashier and closing reports, and maintain contingency lists.
• Provide guests with directions, property information, and respond to service requests.
• Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any theft reports.
• Assist management in training, evaluating, counseling, motivating and coaching employees.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and appearance standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related hospitality work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers and POS (point‑of‑sale) systems.
• Cash handling and receipt reconciliation.
