Account Officer - Bilingual

About the role

The Account Officer will be responsible for end‑to‑end financial accounting, reporting and analysis within Qatar Insurance Company. The role supports budgeting, cash‑flow management, internal controls and audit activities while ensuring compliance with IFRS and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, provisions and reconciliations.
• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes and prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis and performance reports against budget/forecast.
• Monitor working capital, receivables, payables and cash‑flow forecasts, supporting treasury operations.
• Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, preparing schedules and responding to audit queries.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, CMA or equivalent).
• 5–10 years of finance and accounting experience, preferably with Big Four audit exposure.
• Bilingual fluency in Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP finance systems.
