Accountant – Hospitality (Doha)

About the role

IIQAF Group is looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to support financial and accounting operations within its hospitality business in Doha, Qatar. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, managing payables and receivables, and supporting month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and record daily transactions, journal entries, invoices, receipts, payments, and adjustments.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, verify purchase orders, goods received notes, invoices and supplier statements.
• Coordinate with purchasing, procurement, stores, front office, food & beverage, sales, payroll and operations teams.
• Assist with inventory accounting, stock reconciliation, food & beverage cost control and expense monitoring.
• Support payroll accounting and employee expense processing when required.
• Prepare ad‑hoc financial reports and analysis for management.
• Assist audit preparation and provide documentation to auditors.
• Maintain organized digital and physical accounting files.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration or a related field.
• Previous experience as an Accountant, General Accountant, Hotel Accountant or similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, financial reporting and general ledger accounting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a finance team, meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends or public holidays as required by hospitality operations.
