Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will join HIGH TOWN Decoration and Contracting in Doha, handling the day‑to‑day financial operations of construction and design projects. This full‑time, on‑site position supports project managers and senior leadership with accurate financial data and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and general ledger entries.
• Prepare financial statements, periodic reports and assist with month‑end and year‑end closing.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and cash‑flow, ensuring alignment with financial targets.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar/GCC accounting standards and local regulations, and support internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with project managers, procurement and senior leadership to deliver clear financial insights for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Strong background in financial accounting, reporting and general‑ledger management.
• Experience in budgeting, cost control and project accounting within construction or contracting.
• Hands‑on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.
• Proficiency with accounting/ERP software and advanced Microsoft Excel for analysis.
• Knowledge of Qatar or GCC accounting standards and regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or ACCA preferred.
• Prior experience in construction, contracting or engineering environments is an advantage.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site in Doha and manage multiple deadlines.
