Accounting Clerk

About the role

The Accounting Clerk will support the finance team by ensuring accurate entry of financial data, maintaining records, and assisting with routine accounting tasks in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper coding.
• Organise, secure, and maintain files, records, cash and cash equivalents in line with company policies.
• Record, store, and analyse computerized financial information.
• Maintain accurate electronic spreadsheets for financial and accounting data.
• Classify, code, and summarise numerical data using journals, ledgers and accounting software.
• Prepare, maintain and distribute financial, accounting, auditing and payroll reports.
• Complete period‑end closing procedures and related reports.
• Prepare, review, reconcile and issue bills, invoices and account statements.
• Follow all company policies, protect confidential information and assets.
• Provide courteous service to guests and respond to telephone and email enquiries professionally.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related accounting or finance experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data entry and reporting.
